Description
An exciting position has arisen for a Systems Accountant for a local government organisation based in Southend, on a 6 month contract.
The role will be to assist the Systems Manager with the management and maintenance of the organisations finance systems. The role will also include proposing, developing and implementing new procedures and controls, taking account of legislation and accounting and other best practice.
Key criteria for this role are as follows.
- Current membership of CCAB body or equivalent
- Knowledge of Agresso financial system
- Ability to read, interpret and implement regulations and changed to procedures
- Ability to work to a tight timetable, within an area of conflicting demands and changing priorities
- An up-to-date knowledge of current best practice in local authority accounting
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software to a high standard
This role has a pay rate of up to £350 per day.
