Position Title: GWT Architect or Developer
Type: Contract- 9months +
Location: Atlanta, GA 30346
Our client is seeking a GWT Architect or Developer for a 9+ month contract position in the Atlanta Perimeter area. Client is looking for either an Architect or a Developer for this role; client does not want to rule anyone out. The GWT Architect/Developer is responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of Java-based business applications for the client's IT Software Development team and ensuring they align with long-term business and technology platforms.

GWT Architect/Developer Responsibilities:
- Works with business analysts and software architects to design and develop applications utilizing various Java technologies (including Core Java, JEE, Struts, GWT, and Eclipse SWT)
- Addresses production application issues in a timely manner
- Delivers software that meets specified requirements and quality standards
- Clearly documents code and designs to ensure that others can understand
- Works with analysts and testers to thoroughly test solutions and limit production application and data issues
- Quickly and effectively addresses operational issues and internal client requests via standard processes and mechanisms
- Effectively manages client expectations
- Seeks and applies feedback from internal customers
- Works with offshore team members to deliver products in an efficient manner
- Evaluates technologies for applicability within technology platform
- Mentors team members on technologies and methodologies
- 4 year college degree
- 8 years of Java development experience
- 3 years of JEE development experience
- 6 years developing applications utilizing relational databases
- Proficiency in Java application development concepts and methods
- Experience delivering GWT applications
- Recent software development experience in current, relevant Java technologies (eg JEE, Enterprise Java Beans, Eclipse SWT, Object Relational Mapping (ORM) packages, GWT, Struts)
- Experience with Unix based operating systems
- Experience with JBoss Application Server
- Experience developing utilizing waterfall methodologies
