Our client is a leading international mobile communications business currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager (Contract Lead negotiator)

Project Outline
The role owner manages the negotiations of one or more Global Procurement Agreements with OEM terminal vendor(s) in its entirety. The need to negotiate new contracts is related into the company's decision to move all OEM terminal purchasing activities to the central entity.
In a project organization which is expected to exist for 1 year starting in June 2012, the role owner will take ownership of negotiating a new framework agreement that covers all aspects of procurement, legal, logistics, finance, technology, after sales and general commercial principles. Within a small team the lead negotiator will have the responsibility to align internally with the respective function owners as well as with the client's countries on the content and outcome of the negotiation. Another important interface to be managed within that project responsibility is towards the respective Supplier Account Manager, who owns the overall relationship with the supplier and is responsible for the supplier strategy development and execution.
It is expected that not all of client's requirements will be easily accepted by the supplier(s) and the role owner is therefore responsible to develop a negotiation strategy for trade-offs and prepare internal escalation decision process for senior management in the Group.
The overall objective of the role owner shall be to provide competitive advantage to the Group and its partners by leveraging their global scale and scope. Industry leading prices and terms are a significant advantage for OpCos, Partner Markets and 3rd Party Customers and a prerequisite to procure Terminals demand via the central entity where applicable.

Required Skills
- >3 years experience in relevant purchasing and/or sales environments
- Excellent negotiation skills able to unlock blocked situations with creativity and perseverance
- Good communication skills combined with an understanding of local operational issues, ability to jump from helicopter view to operational detail (and back) depending on situation/audience
- Experience with complex stakeholder management in an international environment
- Ability to manage a cross-functional and cross-cultural team without direct line responsibility
- Innovative thinker with a personal passion for negotiation
- High-level numerical analysis skills and ability to draw and provide clear conclusions and recommendations
- Nice to have is experience in the telecommunications industry
