Data Implementation Specialist position
Our client has an immediate need for a Data Implementation Specialist. This is a long term project that will run through 2015 and will initially be a 12 month contract. There is a very good chance this person will convert to a Full time role, too.
The Data Implementation Specialist will serve as the liaison between the client's internal cross functional teams and new B2B E-commerce partners. The Data Implementation Specialist will broker all aspects of the new B2B partner on-boarding process. High-level tasks include validation of service entitlements, business requirements analysis, establishing partner connectivity, transactional gap analysts, data correlation/mapping, B2B infrastructure provisioning, end-to-end testing, production deployment and go-live monitoring.
The Data Implementation Specialist will manage multiple parallel implementations. Candidates must possess a well-rounded B2B background with the ability to serve in both technical and client facing capacities. The Data Implementation Specialists will be specifically responsible for the detailed data mapping of partner's transactional formats to client's consolidated application formats. Firewall configuration, physical mapping and other B2B on-boarding components may be delivered through shared services teams or third party providers. In all cases, the Data Implementation Specialist is responsible for the partner's on-boarding experience and post go-live data integrity.
Skills and Knowledge:
Required
- 5+ years of B2B E-commerce data analysis and partner on-boarding experience
- Detailed knowledge of EDI, XML and other common B2B data formats
- Understanding of relational data and ERP system integration models
- Previous experience creating technical and/or data mapping specification
- Understanding of common B2B communications protocols (AS2, FTP, etc.)
- Ability to lead and effectively collaborate with diverse cross functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communications/presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience with PC office tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Previous healthcare/insurance industry experience
Preferred:
- Knowledge of UNIX and/or Mainframe environments
