ColdFusion Web Developer

Our Raleigh, NC global non-profit client has an immediate 6+ month contract requirement for a mid-level ColdFusion Web Developer with Oracle and Agile experience. Other technologies include Javascript, Java, JSON and Web Services. They are looking for a smart, passionate developer who wants to make a difference in a collaborative, fun environment. You will participate in small, self-organized development teams utilizing iterative, Agile development methodologies. You will be responsible for the successful completion of projects of all sizes and scope.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in the enhancement of their main web portal.
• Support and maintain the existing product functionality through major and point releases.
• Participate in the architecture, design and development of core components, new features and enhancements for their products.
• Provide usability analysis and offer technical solutions in partnership with testing staff and customers.

Required Skills:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent college degree.
• 2-5 years experience with ColdFusion.
• Demonstrated experience with CSS, JavaScript, DHTML and relational databases (Oracle preferred).
• Thorough understanding of the web development process and Internet technologies.
• Strong written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Able to take ownership of a project from start to finish.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.
• Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented and professional, with solid organizational and "multi-tasking" skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a challenging, rapidly changing environment.

Desired Skills: Agile methodology
This is a pure-play contractor opportunity within a solid, yet lean, development team. We've met the Development Manager and find him to be not only strong technically, but a good people person. Very nice, comfortable work environment. You can even bring your dog to work with you!
