As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit a CATIA V5 Applications Engineer to work on-site with one of our key automotive clients.
Responsibilities will include:
Support, develop & deploy robust CAD techniques
Project management & delivery of geometry authoring based methods
Coach and Mentor the engineering user community in best CAD practices
Test & implement Methods & IT system developments
Delivery of classroom training sessions
Interface with other areas of the business (eg IT, CAE, Manufacturing, Engineering) and external partners (eg software vendors)
Skills and Experience required
The candidate will have the unique opportunity to join a specialised team in deploying the next generation design methods and being at the forefront of industry CAD tool development.
We are looking for a person who has a good working knowledge of Catia V5, preferably with experience in an Automotive or Aerospace industry.
Some experience of managing projects, training or coaching, computer literacy and familiarity with other CAD systems would be preferable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Sound understanding of the use of CATIA V5
Experience in a CAD/PDM environment
Experience working in the automotive or aerospace industries
A foundation of Engineering design knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of VB programming language would be advantageous but not essential
