Our Client one of the worlds leading Oil and Gas Exploration Companies are currently looking for a Flow Assurance Engineer to join the team in Aberdeen.

MAIN ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-ordinate all flow assurance activities, for safe and efficient delivery of production targets
  • Address all shortfalls related to flow assurance issues
  • Develop risk based approach to hydrates and provide updated operating guidelines to site
  • Develop Pipeline Management System (PMS) for Northern North Sea and Central Graben operation and be company focal point for commissioning of PMS and installation in offshore DCS.
  • Develop in line flow monitoring and pump control tool for Dunbar MPP operation
  • Calibrate OLGA/Leda models to field data and be TEPUK representative at OVIP and other JIP
  • Liaise with HQ in software development and R&D effort
  • Maintain close communication with reservoir and well performance so that well test data and PVT are adequately updated into flow assurance models
  • Input to BD/DSP development studies
  • Develop flow assurance expertise within production engineering team by acting as mentor and facilitator
  • Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance and provide feedback to Line Management, identify opportunities to maximise production and performance and share best practice
  • Propose and justify modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety/efficiency/reliability of equipment
  • Ensure clear and concise scopes of work/procedures are produced and that all modifications meet statutory and Company standards. Participate in MA process as appropriate
  • In collaboration with the Production Chemistry team, ensure all deposit related flow issues are adequately addressed to minimise process upsets.
  • Produce budgets and plans for specific studies or modifications and manage the cost control process and ensure closure expenditure is within acceptable % of original budget
  • Provide input to discipline budget
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and by making regular visits to installations to review ongoing work programmes and support operations personnel
  • Prepare scopes of work for vendor services, make recommendations on preferred contractor and co-ordinate vendors, materials and equipment for planned and unplanned activities, monitoring and controlling manpower usage, vendor/contractor performance and expenditure.
  • Lead, as appropriate, in vendor/contractor audits
  • Develop positive and constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied

This is a contract position for an initial 12 month period with the potential for subsequent annual reviews.
