Service Acceptance Manager
Our client, a leading financial organisation is looking for a Service Acceptance Manager to join them for a ten month contract. Service Acceptance Manager will be working in the Cyber Security Task Force to identify which teams need to be involved, then plan, define and coordinate tasks that need to be done. You will regularly check project Production Acceptance Criteria are met and ensure changes delivered into production are good enough quality to preserve production stability. Other responsibilities of Service Acceptance Manager will be to manage and communicate the impacts of IT projects on technology domains and production environments and acting as the first point of entry in your department for IT projects to ensure all impacts are taken into account.

Another responsibility is to ensure technology and production impacts are defined, costed and proper risk assessment is performed for all project Business Cases. You will also ensure overall leadership role for deliverables follow-up, sign-off, planning, dependencies and status meeting and will ensure compliance with system architecture standards and production acceptance criteria. You will coordinate delivery of technical design, identify technology impact (ie need for new tools or system software versions), validate design with SMEs, define production acceptance criteria with Production Services and Production Integration. Another key part to Service Acceptance Manager role is acting as "guardian" for optimising Total Cost of Ownership for infrastructure changes - you will define the optimal IT infrastructure for projects to reduce spend long term and follow up periodically to ensure benefits for cost reductions are tracked and achieved.

Service Acceptance Manager skills required:
- Experience project and programme leading, strong technical expertise within complex technical environment (client uses IBM Mainframe, Tandem, UNIX, Windows and advanced networking and storage)
- Able to plan, control and monitor project definition and execution, managing scope, budget and scheduling activities, and quality of deliverables, risks and issues that project could encounter
- Strong team manager and relationship manager, able to manage relationships with various divisions entities and service partners
- Strong interpersonal skills such as communication at all levels (staff all the way to senior management)
- Analytical, problem solving, customer focused, process oriented, rigorous, structured, assertive, strong negotiation skills, able to deal with conflicting priorities and happy to travel from time to time
- Sensitive to production stability and support issues
