Position Title: Operations Research Analyst

Duration: Contract- 12 months+ (multi-year)

Location: Atlanta, GA- Midtown

Our client is seeking an Operations Research Analyst for a 12 month, renewable contract position in Midtown Atlanta. The Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing advanced quantitative models to improve operating efficiency, reduce cost and increase revenue. The candidate will have direct contact with business partners and will participate in identifying, collecting, analysing business requirements, performing data analysis, and generating reports to address business needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in operations research, industrial engineering, or a related engineering and management discipline from an accredited University in the US
  • Strong knowledge of operations research techniques and experience in formulating and implementing optimization models
  • Experience in developing exact/heuristic algorithms for complex operational and management problems
  • Experience with Meta-optimization development
  • Experience with a commercial optimization solver, eg CPLEX, Gurobi
  • Ability to work in UNIX or Linux platforms and proficiency in C++ and/or Java programming language are required
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of rule-based application development
  • Knowledge of software development methodology
  • Experience in the transportation industry
