Network Engineer/Support
24+ month contract located in Durham, NC.
This position will support the client's Global Client Support Team. You must be flexible and willing to work a determined shift in a in an operational support environment. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends may be required.
This position involves monitoring and troubleshooting the Wide Area Network environment and you will provide support for a 24x7 network operations center providing advanced technical support of WAN/LAN networks for Domestic and international clients. The perfect candidate will have flexible hours. This position requires that the analyst be able to dynamically multitask on complex, diverse issues and work with customers in a fast pace SLA driven environment. You should also show excellent communication skills to accurately and quickly diagnose and communicate their findings, internally and externally, while demonstrating a level of customer advocacy to correct problems on our clients behalf.
Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:
- Advanced WAN troubleshooting/problem determination.
- Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, Private Line.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS Architecture.
- knowledge of Cisco QoS - -Excellent understanding of routing and routing protocols.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Campus LAN troubleshooting/problem determination.
- Advanced WAN troubleshooting/problem determination Intermediate Required.
- TCP/IP troubleshooting Intermediate Required.
- Ip Protocol knowledge Intermediate Required.
- Cisco LAN Troubleshooting Experience Intermediate Required.
- Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, Private Line Intermediate Required.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS Architecture Intermediate Required.
