Our client has deep industry and process expertise with innovative technologies and a talented labour force to identify and address high-pain, high-cost Back Office processes in four key solutions areas (CRM, F&A, HR and SCM) as well as key verticals such as the lending industry.

The end result is to eliminate an expensive fixed cost in favour of a transactional cost model and shift these responisbilities allowing them to focus their resources and investments on their core businesses and growth areas.

Your role will include:

  • Application Support, Helpdesk suport, application programming, designing, coding, testing, documentation
  • Working knowledge of application system architecture and the infrastructure environment coupled with standard application methodoligies, programming languages and support tools
  • Ability to support a varied user support base across multiple systems and interfaces.
  • Recognise and articulate problems and manages fault restoration and change to meet the critical deliverables of the business

Your success will be based on the following technical skills:

  • Programming language, database skills and support experience relevant to Web Based and Client Server applications
  • Oracle (Oraclen 10G and APEXHTMLDB)
  • DB2
  • Java
  • HTML
  • HTMLDB (Apex)
  • PL/SQL
  • UNIX
  • Use of suporting and analysis tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, JDeveloper, Microsoft Access

You will also possess the following skills:

  • Designing, coding, testing and providing ongoing support of an application or an application component
  • Consideration for performance, serviceability, usability and maintainability
  • Proven ability if defining, researching, integrating or developing, cataloguing and maintaining reusable application components on one or more platforms with proven technologies
  • Develop the installation, use, maintenance and support documentation for moderately complex components
  • Develop test scenarios. Performs component testing and participates in the review of regression, systems, and stress testing and code promotion
  • Participates in the definition of reusable application components and/or design, development, and maintenance in a computer application. Analyses functional specifications, develops prototypes of potential solutions
  • Helpdesk/user support and the use of incident and change management systems
  • Understanding of best practice support processes and priorities.
