Description
A top tier global financial institution based in the Sydney CBD requires a Senior Platform Engineer to join on a 6 month rolling contract. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to join an existing team of Senior Platform Engineers all a Subject Matter Expert in their particular field. This is a technology facing role and although there will be a mix of Project and BAU work, there will be no day to day operational work like tape changing. The successful applicant will join as the senior Wintel facing generalist with a heavy focus on hardware.
Key Requirements
* Broad Stroke Project work
* BAU work in a large enterprise Wintel environment
* Key performance tuning
* To be the infrastructure technical component for project delivery
* A range of small and varied projects such as application upgrades and data centre consolidations as well as larger projects as they are required
* Life cycle implementations
Key Skills
* Extensive hardware experience - HP Blades highly desirable
* Strong Citrix experience
* Strong Active Directory experience
* Strong Exchange experience
* Broad experience across Wintel technologies
* Strong Scripting skills - desirable
* SAN experience - desirable
* VMWare 4/5 - desirable
* Enterprise Vault - desirable
* BES - desirable
* GOOD - desirable
* Excellent communication skills - essential
Key Experience
* 5+ years experience in large enterprise environments
* Strong Experience with HP Servers, preferably blades.
* Strong experience across windows and associated technologies, a generalist.
* Ability to hit the ground running is essential
* Strong experience in both a project and BAU
* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
