Spring IT have a vacancy for an Ops Analyst/Algo Operations Analyst to work onsite at a large financial client in St Helens, London.

Duration 6 months +
Location - Central London
Reporting to Tech development Systems Operations Lead.
*ALGO OPS ANALYST/ALGO OPERATIONS ANALYST*
We are looking for an Algo Operations Analyst within the economic capital technical development area on a Sol II programme as a key member to the team performing checks on inputs and outputs of the internal model.
The ideal candidate must have some flexibility to working hours. Mainly normal 5 days p/w 9-5 but will sometimes need to cover evening shift up to 10pm and the occasional weekend day (probably about once a month). This will be on a shift basis so would not expect them to work more than the normal 40hr week. All work is covered by standard day rate, no overtime rate for the evenings or weekend
Key Skills:
MS Excel - will be frequently running VBA macros
Insurance background - any experience with algothrithmics would be ideal
Excellent communication and teamworking skills
Nice to Have:
technical actuarial language knowledge
Unix/SQL
MI report development using VBA
business process experience
