Description
Our client located in Elyria, has several openings for Field Technicians to assist with a large Windows 7 upgrade at 3 of their locations. This is a contract position that will last through the end of this year. Must be willing to travel to 2 different locations for up to a month at a time. The remainder of the time will be spent in the Elyria location.
Description:
- Work directly with end-users (office and shop floor environments) to complete pre-migration/preparation
- tasks. This includes things such as hardware verification, software inventory, identifying critical data,
- Install and test applications on a Windows 7 machine to verify proper function prior to roll-out.
Requirements:
- Working technical knowledge of PC operating systems and software including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Office 2010.

- Familiarity with shop floor related IT systems including RF scan guns and label printers is a plus.
- Experience with managing PCs and users in a domain environment (using Active Directory or similar products) a plus.
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in various Information Technology roles
- Front End technical client hardware and software experience
- Experience supporting mixed office/manufacturing environment
All travel expenses will be handled by our client. Must also be willing to work a 2nd shift schedule Thursday - Monday each week.
