Description
Our client is a super high-visibility software corporation looking for an Operations Engineer to support delivery of their Parallel Datawarehouse Appliance which will include:
- Racking Servers and assembling appliances following all racking and cabling diagrams
- Ensuring appliances are configured and running correctly
- Maintaining all R&D, infrastructure and production hardware to ensure maximum availability
- Monitoring and tracking utilization rates, server uptime and mean time to failure
- Working with hardware vendors on hardware issues, escalating as necessary to ensure an acceptable outcome and adherence to SLA
- Developing scripts and tools, if necessary, to automate the daily maintenance of each hardware component
- Interfacing directly with the program management, development and test teams to enable the continued development and testing of products as directly related to hardware
