Description
Our client is the Pacific Northwest's signature software enterprise seeking a qualified Support Engineer to help with an upcoming product release. For this contract position, you will assist with triaging a wide range of technical issues submitted from independent developers to large, in-house information technology organizations, who are using and testing Internet Technologies.
OVERVIEW:
- Identify and document support issues
- Use support tools to triage "fix" requests
- Write technical samples to verify bugs
- Use appropriate communication skills to provide customer feedback
- Develop tools and processes as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of software experience, especially Internet development work experience
- Strong customer service focus, excellent problem solving skills, and a thorough understanding of Internet technologies
- Good understanding of Internet Explorer features and architecture
- Good understanding of network communications (HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of tools available for troubleshooting
- Knowledge of C/C++
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: VB, VB.NET, C#
- Proficiency with HTML, HTML5, DHTML, and JavaScript and/or VBScript
- Experience developing in Visual Studio .NET
- Familiarity with COM
- Good written communication skills
- Ability to rapidly learn new concepts and tools a must
This contract position is expected to be 11 months in duration.
