Description
Our client, a world leading Medical organisation, has started the project to replace its current CRM and Service Toolset of various Legacy applications with an integrated solution based on Siebel CRM platform.
Siebel CRM platform is being deployment in Europe and Asia for Service teams. It is currently only available in English, and needs to be available by 2013 in Spanish and English.
Code remédiation (reworking the customizations) is in progress by development teams located in India. The translation and test of the application is done by local functional teams.
Objectives
*Support the process of application translation in local language (French/Spanish)
*Establish a generic framework for future application translation
*Evaluate impact on application maintenance
Tasks
*Establish translation methodology & plan
*Set up priorities with Functional Team & assist functional team in translation process
*Ensure consistency across application
*Highlight potential gaps in Siebel translation (hardcoding, reference to English values) & remediation effort
*Support data loads
*Establish testing strategy, consistent with service processes
*Write test scripts that can be used also for subsequent translations
*Run regression testing
