We require a Storage Engineer to be responsible for the daily operations, performance and management of the Enterprise Storage environment. Responsibilities include providing input for architectural planning, designing and implementation of Storage technologies as well as working with the internal and external partners responsible for project planning, cost analysis and implementation of proposed solutions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This candidate must have strong skill tskill set within EMC,Clarrion,VNX,DMX and NetBackUp. This position will be part of a team that will provide operational support as well as participate in some project activities. Responsibilities will include; ensuring that storage systems are running smoothly, provisioning storage, deploying new systems, troubleshooting access/performance problems, and assessing storage needs from other internal IT groups.
  • Experience supporting EMC Symmetrix, Powerpath and Clariion technologies. EMCSA Certification a plus.
  • Experience supporting and deploying Network Appliance storage technologies. NCDA certification a plus. MirrorView, SnapView, and Celerra a plus.
  • Experience building new environments for an internal enterprise application

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • NetBackUp/Storage Engineering
  • Working knowledge of DMX,Clarrion,VN,EMC .
  • Strong understanding of storage protocols including fiber channel, ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, and NDMP.
  • Possesses a good understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, Client Server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts and have the ability to program in an administrative language so that automated scripts for the Storage environment can be setup.
  • Experience with Data Replication technologies.
  • Experience with Storage Virtualization preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
