Senior Tools Project Engineer - Contract
Our client a leading aerospace manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced tool Project engineer to join their team working on aerospace tooling designs.
The main responsibilities of the role are to work with and lead the team creating specifications, prototypes and digital models required for the manufacture of aero tooling.
The team will be working in a development environment, responsible for full life cycle design; from initial concept to manufacture and review. The right candidate will also be able to re-engineer and re-evaluate Legacy and current designs.
The right candidate will be:
- Proven experience in an engineering background
- Proven experience of and a willingness to take ownership from concept to delivery
- Ability to create and support development of efficient designs
- Experienced CAD users: AutoCAD 2D, Unigraphics2/4/6
- Demonstrable ability with design review and analysis
- Experienced in managing 3rd party suppliers
- Experienced in Tooling design
The hourly rate for this contract is £26 - £27 per hour and is based in Derby and expected to last between 3-6 months.
