My client is currently looking for a Governance/Procurement Analyst to start a 6 month contract based in Chester.

 The Governance Analyst will support the Senior Programme Manager in providing high quality and accurate information necessary at each major governance event; programme boards, steering groups, communication events, executive steering boards.

They will also support the procurement lead of the programme to ensure dialogue and interaction with vendors is optimised, locations are and available, and the progression of vendor interaction from early dialogue, through RFP and subsequent negotiation is supported by efficient logistics and scheduling.

The Governance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the Governance process operates smoothly within this major initiative. In addition the role requires a focus on managing complex and diverse interactions with vendors during a key procurement phase of the initiative.

Required:

  • Strong understanding of the governance process, inputs to meetings, procedures, key checkpoints and scheduling requirements
  • Understands the competitive bid environments and the challenges that can provide in managing a procurement exercise successfully
  • Ensure that senior internal stakeholders are provided with the correct level of information to support rapid decision making at major governance boards and meetings
  • Ensure that all supporting logistics and organised activities are in place to support accelerated procurement of services in a competitive situation
  • Logical thinker and self starter
