Operational Risk Management Consultant
An Operational Risk Management Consultant is required for an exciting project based in Brussels within a top tier Investment Bank. English speaking is a must ideally coupled with French and Dutch (spoken and written).

The Background:
My client's Information Security and Risk Management department supports IT and Business Units to develop adequate solutions in Information Security and Risk Management practices.
Their main missions are:
Advice, consult, implement and report on solutions in order to reduce the overall risk exposure of IT and Business at an optimised cost.
Elaborate and manage the implementation of a flexible strategy to reduce Information Security risks in accordance to my client's Information Security policies.
The Job:
Lead Information and Operational Risk Management activities with a focus on:
Bringing expertise in risk management services to my clients internal customers (IT and Business), in their projects, their processes or their assets, with a focus to be given to Information Security and Operational Risk management.
Provide hands-on support to identifying and evaluating risks.
Identify, validate and assess the quality of the measures to mitigate them.
Ensure increasing risk control maturity by providing a valuable follow up and reporting.
Manage customer relationship, be the Single Point Of Contact for the risk management services delivered
Work with program managers and department heads to define a risk mitigating strategy and related governance.
Promote and sell our risk management services to my client's internal customers (IT and Business)
Adherence to and improvement of Information Security and Operational Risk Management methodologies and guidelines.
Improvement of tools used for risk management activities (identification questionnaires, evaluation Matrix, monitoring and reporting) taking into account your field experience as well as best practices coming from the Group or other sources like regulators, Basel II, CobIT, ISO ...
Regular reporting to Information Security management, IT management and other stakeholders (eg Permanent control, Compliance)
The Candidate:
University degree in science or economy or an engineering degree, with a strong IT background
Quick self-starter, pro-active attitude

Good reporting and presentation skills;

5 years experience in an IST environment
Expert with Information Security and Risk Management frameworks
Professional experience in Financial Services
Professional experience of IT-business relationships and business expectations
2 years experience in information technology and processes
Metrics definition and dash boarding
3 years experience in operational/security risk management (assessment, monitoring and reporting) Significant experience in project management
