Mainframe Administrator/Backup/Veritas/VMware
Our client based in Brussels has a fantastic 3 month initial contract opportunity for a Mainframe Administrator.
The Operators are responsible for the following operations.
o Realize daily operational tasks:
- Systems and Planning (Scheduler) Monitoring.
- Service Monitoring.
- Daily Batch activity management.and special requests:
Intervention in activated Jobs or Jobplans
Immediate/urgent activation of Jobplans or Jobs (execute)
Job (JCL) modification for technical or Infrastructure reasons
Job (JCL) and plans creation and modification on technical jobs (not business applications related)
Job (JCL) modification to correct JCL error' in Prod
Developments requests about Planning, Jobs, Jobplans executions
Developments requests for restart Services
Submit one shot/Special Job
Manual space Management on Applications. Servers (on request)
- Special requests Management.
o Backup Management (Netbackup, Veritas.) definition and execution
o CMDB updates
o Local data room installations
o UC4 GUI installations and upgrades
o Help Desk outside service hours
Technical knowledge
Excellent knowledge of the UC4 scheduler and of Mainframe JCL language.
Good knowledge of
Windows server & Vmware concepts
Mainframe concepts
Technical requirements
Access to the infrastructures located:
o In Belgium (Brussels & Ternat)
o In Munich (VPH & ITH)
Use of SDE Belgian service support tooling
