Required experience/skills
- SYBASE/SQL SERVER DBA skills: system analysis, design, storage, security, backup, recovery, high availability, scalability, change management.
- Sun Solaris 10, windows 2003, windows 2008, MS SQL 2005, MS SQL 2008, SYBASE 15.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- 5+ years of Oracle Database Administrator experience in a global enterprise environment.
- A minimum of 3 years on Sun technology and Windows.
Job description
As part of the Integration Program, BNPP Investment Partners (IP) has completed the move of its business applications target model into a one single DC.
Based on the increased volume of the Sybase/SQL server RDBMS and DB to manage and with the new coming DBs migration projects, the SYBASE/SQL SERVER DBA will:
- Cooperate with the OS team (UNIX on Sun Solaris, Wintel team) for the installation and configuration of the RDBMS software;
- Create the databases: its objects (tables, indexes) and their underlying physical objects;
- Implement database maintenance scripts and follow up their execution (backup, reorganization, statistics...);
- Be responsible for the security rules inside the database;
- Monitor periodically the system's resource usage and performance;
- Support development and maintenance teams with his proper knowledge;
- Write the DB related documentation.
