An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Risk Management professional with strong Market Risk experience within an Energy, Trading or Commodities environment to join a leading energy multinational based in Central London.

This is a 6 month maternity cover paying up to £500 per day. Interviews are being arranged immidiately, and a start date is envisaged for the beginning of August.

The Energy Risk Manager/Energy Market Risk manager will require the ability to understand complex theories and techniques and their application in a practical context.

The role holder must also have a deep understanding of the trade life cycle, trading and risk systems and have expertise of project and programme management and governance.

The role has a wide-ranging impact across the whole of the company, through the definition of the market risk control framework directly and indirectly through providing expert insight and challenge.

The successful Energy Risk Manager/Energy Market Risk manager must have excellent stakeholder management skills, including advanced influencing and a focus on identifying key requirements. He or she must also be able to challenge, motivate and support a team of highly skilled analysts, liaise with senior sponsors and contribute to business critical risk committee meetings.
