A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced management accountant to work within the finance team of a leading housing organisation based in Central London. This is a temporary role which would be an ideal position for a newly qualified accountant or someone who is nearing the end of their studies.

Duties include but are not limited to:
To support the Finance Manager in the running of the finance section with regard to financial reporting, financial controls, reconciliations and service development.
To provide budget performance, analysis and financial advice.
To provide a timely, effective and efficient finance service.
To register, maintain and verify the non housing fixed asset register.

Job activities include but are not limited to:
To be responsible for leading implementation teams for payroll, accounts receivable and payable.
To have overall management responsibility for processing, checking, reconciling, and reporting on pension scheme returns and staff benefits accounting.
To manage the partial exemption, capital good schemes process and ensure compliance for VAT.
To maximise VAT recovery within the legislative framework.
To prepare and provide management accounts (together with any additional financial information) to CaN and joint estate boards, and be responsible for analysing variances and advising managers where required.
To provide financial advice to non-financial managers in a simple and easy to understand format, analyse and present financial and statistical data as requested by various departments within the organisation.
To manage core monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions, including the calculation and entering of the bad debt provision.
To have overall management control of intricate accounting functions involving the interface and reconciliation of the nominal ledger, suspense account, purchase ledger, sales or receivables ledger with underlying records, supervising staff in the performance of delegated tasks where appropriate.
To use sophisticated software tools including data handling tools, pivot tables, interfaces etc to prepare, input and analyse financial and other information.
