Dear professional,
For a new client of Square One I am looking for Cobol Developers. We have been exclusively retained to recruit for this IT program skilled & experienced Cobol programmers/developers.
Our client is in need of Cobol developers and require them for senior hands on expertise consult. The project is based on a key IT Transformation Program. The purpose is to develop quality software and systems to current standards, within agreed timescales, as directed by the business requirements:
Skills required are:
Micro focus Cobol and related technology. Additional knowledge of additional technologies ie Microsoft/Oracle highly desirable as these role offer the opportunities to x-train into these development languages and environments
The Cobol specialist will be responsible for:
-Systems design and specification.
-To produce technical specifications.
-To produce, test and document program code within agreed time-scales and to documented standards.
-To maintain in house software.
-To assist with, or support system testing.
-To provide support during user acceptance testing.
-To participate in the use and development of departmental procedures.
We require a professional with a commercial track record. Strong communication skills are a prerequisite as is a flexible and adaptable attitude.
