Description

The main and overriding requirement is for a surveyor with general practice skills. Two identical posts are available in the Property Transaction Team. This is a team within the Service Delivery Section of Corporate Property. Both posts are required in response to the New Ways of Working political agenda. This programme has triggered 124 new property transactions in addition to the business as usual work. The timescale for completion is short, so we will have a temporary peak in workload for approximately one year.

Qualifications Required: MRICS

Main task negotiation of transfers into the community. Experience of landlord and tenant negotiations required.

Personal Specification:
Positive team member, able to work on own initiative, but also support the team objectives. Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Sensitive to the political aspects of the role, and able to guide non professionals through a property transaction cycle. Strong organisational skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Weekly time recording, and electronic filing are required. Flexible outlook required as addition estates work will be added to the main role. Previous experience in the public sector not essential. The role will be managed by a senior surveyor.
