SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (Scandinavian Speaker)Contract Period: Start: 13.08.2012 End: 31.08.2013
The work covers several business areas and this request addresses the Transport, Allocation and Logistics area. Specifically this request is related to staffing the energy BOSS (BOSA) development and operational teams.
Competence requirements
Mandatory (please specify with years of experience):
- Educated in IT (3-5 years)
- Experience with system development (System Analyst or Designer/Programmer) in several projects with at least 3 project participants
- Min 3 years of project experience with Object Oriented programming and the .NET development platform
- Experience with agile methods and practices, such as TDD, BDD, CI, pair programming and scrum
- Being able and willing to program in technologies such as VB 6.0, CA Gen
- Must be motivated to spend time learning the gas business, and want to develop and maintain this over time
- Motivation for working with an IT product in a life cycle perspective.
Appreciated:
- Experience with SQL and database systems like Oracle
- Experience with Domain driven design
- Familiar with UI patterns and domain patterns
Responsibilities:
- Interactively participate in sprint planning and daily Scrum meetings
- Participate in design and programming of new functionality
- Write technical specification/design documentation for the new functionality
- Ensure good quality and maintainable code
- Write test scripts for module testing
- Participate in unit and module testing
- Do bug fixing after testing
Experience & Qualifications:
- Analytical and creative
- Good at problem solving
- Good understanding of the development process
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal
- Experience working in an agile development environment is preferred
- Knowledge of automated testing would be an advantage (either freeware or other market test tools)
- Structured and well organized
- Speak and write English fluently
- Good communication skills
- Good ability to interact with business users, to understand and translate their needs into good maintainable and domain-driven design, and to explain problems and solutions in a non-technical way.
- Is comfortable working across organizational and geographical borders
- Be comfortable with the character of a maintenance and support team over a longer period.
