Description
My client in the centre of Brussels is looking for a Mainframe Capacity Manager.
I am looking for someone with the following skills:
- You will be an expert in primarily IBM Mainframe Systems (Hardware, operating systems, databases, Middleware and frameworks).
- You will have a working knowledge of the zSeries Architecture (LPARs, Sysplex, Coupling Facility)
- You have experience in performance analysis on IBM Mainframe.
- You will be team oriented and willing to share knowledge with your colleagues
The Following would be advantageous:
- Familiar with the capacity management process
- Familiar with IBM Mainframe monitoring tools
- Experience in SAS programming, MICS CMI, Tape and Storage systems, HP NSK
- Experience of working with in a banking environment.
As a Capacity Manager you will fulfil Capacity Analyst and Capacity Planning duties:
- As a Capacity Analyst you will perform detailed analysis of a specific IT Service, component or platform.
- You will perform performance testing and review capacity and performance reports.
- The Capacity planner participates in technical architecture reviews and testing to determine the most appropriate scalable model.
- You will develop capacity models
- You will help to establish realistic IT budgets for the IT infrastructure and develop cost-benefit analysis and cost estimates,
This role is to start ASAP until 31st July 2013
