IT Project Manager

Job Description:
Manage IT projects, initiation through closeout, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives. Provide leadership for IT project team members and the Project Management process. Position generally used for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations. Works independently and mentors other project managers. Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects. Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations. Directly accountable for the management of projects with an aggregate annual cash flow of over $3 million.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Technical or Management Discipline with 10 years overall experience of which 6 years have been as a project team member. OR 12 years of directly applicable industry experience, 6 years of which must be in the field of management of projects AND PMP Certification.

Objective:
The scope of this engagement is to support the EAM Assessment project including:
1)Organizing and facilitating meetings including building agendas and meeting minutes
2)Developing detailed estimating spreadsheets including consolidated summary views and enumerated assumptions
3)Drafting consulting quality presentations tailored to specific audiences: Executive, Managers, SME levels
4)Developing resource loaded project plans and milestone level workplans.
5)Building communication plan for project effort including weekly status reports
6)Completion of PMO required deliverables

1.1Scope of Work
1.Manage projects according to ADM and IT PMO Project standards and guidelines
2.Develop project plan, detailed requirements
3.Manage project budget
4.Work directly with IT project team members, business sponsors and business technical subject matter experts in developing and confirming the recommendation and documentation
5.Provide weekly progress reports to EAM Director and CTA Merger project PMO during scheduled status meetings and via status reports.
6.May assist with other areas of EAM responsibilities as time permits/

1.2 Skill set required:
Minimum Requirements 5-7 years experience:

Project Management, PMP or equivalent experience

MS Project and PowerPoint

Strong analytic skills and ability to cull volumes of information into higher level related groups

Excellent communications, written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to use PowerPoint and written documentation for communications. Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

Desired Business and Technical Experience (3-5 years):

Visio

Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Asset Management systems and users

Knowledge and experience with energy and utility companies
Familiarity with IBM Maximo, Ventyx PassPort/Asset Suite, or other Enterprise Asset Management solutions
