IBM AIX Power 7 System Engineer
Genuent USA has a need to hire an IBM AIX Power 7 System Engineer for the Las Vegas, Nevada area, for a contract that starts Early August and duration is three to four months.

Duties:
- Install and configures two new IBM Power 7 740. Develop plans, assists with migrating existing p4 650 and p5 570 AIX LPARs to new hardware for SAP environment
- Providing AIX systems administration, systems engineering, and application migration for IBM/AIX LPARS in test, development, and production environments;
- Building, configuring, and administering IBM AIX 6.1 and 7.X on p740's platforms;
- Setting up, configuring and testing PowerHA/HACMP LPARs;
- Providing input on strategic planning, capacity planning, process improvements, and engineering design;
- Presenting project status, issues, and other key information to management, peers and stakeholders;
- Providing effective communication at all levels of management, peers and customers through clarity of expression and the ability to organize thoughts both written and oral.
- Coordinating the installation and upgrades of hardware and software;
- Interacting with IT staff and vendors regarding complex testing or troubleshooting issues;
- Providing transfer of knowledge and documenting new Power 7 environments
