Role activities:
The role is responsible for the safe and effective conduct of specific test and evaluation tasks relating to military aircraft and weapons within project teams. E3 encompasses all electromagnetic disciplines including Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electromagnetic Interference, Lightning Indirect Effects and Electrostatic Discharge. Delivering Specialist Technical advice to meet business requirements. Appropriately utilising Technical processes, methods and tools within the Specialist area to deliver the business. Drafting technical inputs for customer reports as required.

Experience & Knowledge:
Must have:
Experience of evaluating military aircraft avionic systems from an EMC and Lightning perspective. Identifying and gathering evidence that demonstrates compliance with specified EMC and Lightning design standards and specifications. Interpretation of standard/specification requirements when assessed against Design Organization compliance regimes in support of Certification and Qualification criteria.
An understanding of Electrical Power Generation & Distribution Systems.
Experience of working in or with MoD and/or HM Forces.

Skills & Competencies:
Must have:
Chartered Engineer with appropriate Electronics degree. A sound understanding of aircraft systems, particularly when considering critical functionality, and the threats posed to them from External Electromagnetic Environments.
