£350 - £500 per day. Structural Integrity - Helicopters

We're looking to recruit experienced engineers to lead teams in the provision of authoritative structural integrity and airworthiness advice across a number of military and commercial helicopters. To succeed in this role you should have a flair for developing solutions to complex structural integrity problems and be able to assess those generated by other organisations. You will have the ability to deal with demanding issues and exercise sound judgement, sometimes under pressure, whilst working closely with the customer to ensure that we maintain the highest technical standards. You will enjoy the challenge of leading and delivering the structural input to many projects simultaneously as part of multidisciplinary teams. In addition you will mentor and train junior colleagues, applying Best Practice and Governance to the technical output of team members.

Work will include:
Providing independent assured structural airworthiness advice to customers.
Applying analytical and practical techniques to solve complex problems.
Identifying work packages within and beyond the basic tasking.
Working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Developing and maintaining close working relationships with customers and regulatory organisations.
Maintaining currency in structural airworthiness assessment tools and techniques.

Requirements:
Ideally you will have experience in most of the following technical disciplines:
Structural Airworthiness Assurance and Regulations
Aircraft Certification and Release
Air Vehicle Design Philosophies
Loads and Structural Assessments

You will have the following qualifications and attributes:
Degree or Higher Degree in a related discipline, eg Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, etc.
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience.
Experience of leading teams and mentoring staff.
The ability to think creatively and exercise sound independent judgement whilst maintaining a high level of technical and personal integrity.
Good influencing skills with the ability to sustain a rational argument and present recommendations to a wide range of people.
Applicants with substantial practical experience in equivalent fields of a non aircraft, but safety related, engineering discipline would be considered.
