Position Title: Web Developer
Duration: Contract - 6 months
Location: Atlanta, GA 30318
Our client is seeking a Web Developer for a 6 month contract position in Atlanta, GA. This role will be in a fast-paced environment with numerous ITERATIVE development cycles. The candidate should have lead roles and hands-on experience working on large web applications. Applicants must include a link to their online portfolio or provide links to previous work.

Web Developer Responsibilities:
- Write standards-compliant xhtml, CSS, and unobtrusive JavaScript
- Integrate code using JSP in a Java environment
- Work with designers, product managers, and Back End engineers to create enhanced user experiences through expertise in client-side development.
- Work on various projects ranging from templates to conceptual prototypes to production-level components.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of work experience in general web application development
- 3+ years of experience in Front End development
- Strong command of semantic markup and table free layouts
- Advanced CSS (strong grasp of floats, positioning, box model, image sprites, CSS hacks, browser compatibility)
- Advanced Javascript (including DOM, object-oriented Javascript, Ajax, JSON)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with JSP/JSTL
- Advanced, event-driven Javascript (subscribers, listeners, event bubbling, etc.)
- jQuery experience
- Experience with high performance web page optimization techniques (edge serving, minimize HTTP connections, etc.)
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Flash)
- Strong understanding of Client Server code integration, including best practices in what functionality should run where
