Sr. Java DeveloperJob Summary:
The job will involve working on a team of Java Developers building scalable, highly-available applications for banking. Working in an agile manner, you will drive the implementation of customer features using JEE, MQ, Oracle technologies and similar technologies.
Qualifications
Required
- An intelligent, self-starter, problem-solving person who loves solving problems and working with others to solve difficult (if not impossible) problems.
- Very good hands-on knowledge of JEE environment (at least JEE5. JEE6 is preferred) with at least 6+ years experience.
- Practical knowledge of best coding/design practices and patterns, optimizations, scaling and clustering
- Hands-on experience with clustering in JEE environments, HA, replication and scale-out of Back End JEE components
- Hands-on experience with at least one major JEE Application Server is required (JBoss is an advantage). Basic configuration and administration, deployment and optimization.
- Experience with REST and/or SOA
- Knowledge of JBOSS, JMX, JPA, JTA, SQL, JEE security
- Knowledge of web GUI technologies would be considered an advantage (JavaScript, HTML, UML, etc)
- Linux/Unix knowledge
- B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field
- Ability to be on call 24 hours when the job requires it.
Preferred
- Experience with JBOSS.
- UNIX/Linux Scripting experience is preferred
- Database design and analysis experience, preferably on Oracle.
- +2 years experience with Hibernate, Spring, SEAM, and Struts 2 preferred.
- Two years minimum of experience with web Services is also very desirable.
- Experience with Eclipse a plus.
