GEOTECHNICAL DATA Co-ordinator.
Definition of the job.

To support the needs of a team of approximately 15 geoscientists involved in exploration activities through the coordination of geotechnical data, update of databases and support of application work flows.

Responsibilities/Objectives

* Ensure that any technical data received is complete and correct
* Provides a central point of contact in the administration of all geotechnical data.
* Collect QC and load to expanding subsurface database and well inventory in a timely manner so that evaluation can take place quickly.
* Apply regular updates to those databases.
* Archive geotechnical project data and document archival process and results.
* Work with other members of the companies wider data management team to improve standards and procedures
* Investigate and resolve geotechnical data management and applications support issues

Skills

* Minimum 3+ years experience with the oil and gas industry and significant exposure to projects with large E&P databases
* Comprehensive understanding and experience of geotechnical data management (wells, logs, 2d & 3d seismic) and reports in both hard and digital formats
* Working knowledge of at least one of the following application suites: R5000 Landmark (preferable), Petrel, and/or Kingdom, with particular emphasis on the data management tools
