Description
A Finance Relationship Manager with an Accountancy Qualification is required to join a Risk Software Delivery Department within an Investment Bank based in London. This role will suit someone keen, enthusiastic and eager to make their mark in a small and dynamic team. The role offers great potential for development and exposure to senior management & other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of the monthly consolidation and report production cycles for Risk SWD and sub-functions, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of reports and managing the planning cycles related to development of forecasts and the annual plan;
- Provide financial and management reporting to Senior IT & Risk Management, including monthly financial results against the annual operating and capital plans as well as cost pool and pass through budgets;
- Work with the COO and business managers to provide explanations for cost variances and processes to manage them.
- Coordinate and report on forecasts and analyse business unit trends, participating in preparing long-term strategic plans for the department, as appropriate;
- Prepare monthly accruals for Traded Risk
- Act as central point of contact for all Risk SWD business managers on financial matters
- Provide ad-hoc support to business management and project managers
- Coordinate accounting and regulatory matters with other departments as necessary;
- Ensure that problems are managed and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business and report progress and problems to management;
- Provide support and guidance to the IT Businesses on all financial aspects including billing and financial systems.
Essential Experience:
- Accounting Qualification - CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- A good level of financial expertise; (Good knowledge and understanding of accounting systems; Established financial and accounting acumen)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to explain financial terms and systems to non-financial personnel;
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- Delivery focus - ability to define key requirements for a deliverable and consolidate necessary inputs to produce the output in a timely fashion; at an appropriate level for the audience;
- Ability to prioritise competing demands;
