Description
Our client is seeking an Exchange Support Engineer who will work closely with a team of front-line agents and be an escalation point for agents and high level VIP customers. We are supporting an Enterprise mobile messaging security application solution that interfaces with Microsoft Exchange.
Keys to success:
- Ability to multi-task, good organization skills, persistence, patience
- Technical aptitude in resolving complex technical server and/or networking issues
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse diagnostic log files from Exchange network environments and Servers to determine appropriate steps for the Tier 1/Tier 2 Support team to restore service to customers.
- Provide root cause analysis of customer issues.
- Develop workarounds and fixes to existing product lines when applicable.
- Train and lead other Tier1/Tier2 Support Engineer.
- Provide a Front Line interface to the Tier3/Development Support team.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited college/university or on the job experience
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years in a support role; ideally in IT Administration.
- Secret security clearance
- An aptitude for solving complex server and networking issues.
- An ability to read and analyse log files.
Bonus Points for:
- Networking experience is a plus.
- 3+ years IT Admin experience is a plus.
- 2+ years Microsoft Exchange Configuration experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and write Perl scripts.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent with customer service skills.
- Excellent with planning and problem solving.
- Able to work independently on assigned tasks
