For our end client we are looking for a Project Manager with Oil & Gas experience:

Project Description (scope):
Re-modelling of the Enterprise Service Model to provide dedicated Service Tiers for Business Critical High Availability applications (whilst safeguarding the service levels for non Business Critical applications requiring specific levels of availability). Where required, applications will be re-mapped to a new Service Tier and associated master data changes made.
Enhancement of the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and Collective to include a set of big rules that will recommend the appropriate Enterprise Service Model Service Tier and
High Recoverability status based upon an application's risk profile.
Expansion of the Enterprise Incident Prioritisation Matrix (EIPM), where currently incidents are prioritised based upon availability, to include Confidentiality and Integrity - ensuring these types of incidents receive the appropriate level of attention (call a Situation/Service-
at-Risk) moving forward
Alignment of the Enterprise (ITIL) and the IRM Incident Management processes to ensure events of interest' are identified - enabling security related incidents to be recognised much earlier in the incident life cycle.

Key Challenges:
Understanding the complex tooling and data architecture in a short period of time
Optimizing the training and communication activities so they are fit for purpose across
the differing parts of the Shell IT organisation
Driving effective process embedding across multiple organizations that are still coming to
grips with the new Shell organisation implemented in April, 2012
Dealing with cultural differences and working in a virtual environment across multiple
time-frames

Roles and Responsibilities:
The scope is leading this project across a complex group of stakeholders that cross Businesses and ITSO, some of which are in Sr level positions. Throughout the project there will be an emphasis on ensuring stakeholders understand the business impacts of the agreements and commitments made. Heavy emphasis will be placed on communication with the business stakeholders at the appropriate times during the project.
All deliverables expected of a Project Manager will be in scope including, but not limited to, Scope and Charter development and management, creation and management of Project Plan, Issues & Risks, Communications Plan, Roles & Responsibilities, Deliverables
Tractability, and status reporting.

Priciple Project Accountabilites:

  • Evaluate the impact of the proposed Enterprise Service Model changes on the tooling architecture and the Service Level Management master data
  • Determine changes to Application Landscape Service Tier mapping and build the IT4IT
    change request detailing the master data changes needed
  • Determine tooling changes and build the IT4IT change request detailing the tooling
    changes needed
  • Design and document changes to the SLA Scorecard.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing
  • Develop the Enterprise Service Model implementation approach ensuring minimal impact to the IT organisation
  • Develop training and stakeholder communication packs
  • Deliver training across the businesses
  • Update process collateral to reflect the service model changes
  • Embed the changes across the different IT organisations

Strong preference for recent OIL + Gas Industry experience!
Minimal 10 years of experience in an IT Project Manager/Programme Manager role with
extensive experience in the full project life cycle from project management, transitions, business analysis, design and build through to implementation.
Project Management Certification required
ITIL certification will be an advantage
Preference for solid understanding of Service Management processes especially Service
Level Management
Ability to build credibility and relationships with staff and business leaders.
Focused on Business outcomes
Ability to influence others and work through others to deliver the desired results.
Ability to operate in a virtual cross cultural organization.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification.

Technical Skills and Experience:

MANDATORY:
