Strategy Consultant/Manager, Financial Services, business growth strategy. By client is looking to hire a strategy consultant to assist with a new initiative following the merger of 2 of their business units to form a unified Asset Management business model. The client has a very clear idea of where they want to be and in what timescale (to make them a global leader in this space), but need the expertise of an FS strategy consultant to help formulate blue sky thinking to defined roadmaps. Items under consideration are; new products, investment strategy, new markets etc. This is an excellent role offing a long term contract facing off to very senior stakeholders across multiple areas of the business and board level people. Please note this is a pure, 100%, corporate strategy role ie not a business change' role with elements of strategy - if the latter describes yourself, this role will unfortunately not be a fit for you in terms of the clients list of requirements.
Given the 100% pure strategic nature of the role, it is essential you have worked with one or more of the following people on previous roles;
- Head of Strategy
- Head of Corporate Development
- Head of Strategy & Business Development
- Head of Strategy & M&A
Your previous projects should be either growth orientated (new products, new markets, joint ventures, M&A) or more operational - cost reduction, performance improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a contract/interim role lasting up to 12 months which may in turn offer a permanent opportunity, but obviously this will be dictated to by the success of the initial strategy project/programme in this case and/or the growth of the wider strategy team. This role would suit either; a candidate moving from consultancy to industry' or industry to industry', however it is highly likely the successful candidate will at some point have worked within one or more of the top 10-15 strategy consulting firms.
