Change Manager

Change Management experience is essential for this role.

Implementing change management principles for the successful delivery of the BIM Programme.

Knowledge

Job Purpose

Principal Accountabilities

  • Establishing the information requirements of both internal and external stakeholders at each key decision point throughout the life of an asset.
  • Project Management of projects and tasks within the BIM Programme.
  • Influencing standardised processes for the collaborative production, use and maintenance of information models.
  • Raising awareness and educating internal and external users in procurement and collaborative working processes.
  • Providing the Rail and Underground Group of companies with contractual and technical expertise relating to BIM.

Decision Making

  • Validating and prioritising business information requirements.
  • Challenging existing processes and defining new or enhanced processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Defining the most appropriate technology to enable the agreed process.
  • Assessing the competence of individuals to produce/modify the required components of the information model.
  • Decides when it is necessary to contact senior LU managers/engineers regarding the discovery of urgent or serious issues.

Main Working Relationships

This role interfaces with all individuals responsible for the procurement, design, construction and maintenance of Rail and Underground assets.

Knowledge

  • Degree and/or Higher National qualifications related to architecture, engineering or construction.
  • Specialist knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Computer Aided Design (CAD) and integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
  • Working knowledge of Engineering Content Management Systems (ECMS), preferably Bentley Project Wise
  • Working knowledge of relevant British and ISO industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of business change management processes, preferably PCI
  • Working knowledge of engineering contracts, preferably NEC3.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Knowledge of London Underground's business, its obligations and priorities.

  • Methodical and analytical approach to work, persistent nature and integrity for maintaining comprehensive and accurate data.
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across the organisation, to drive true change.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks where external suppliers could potentially claim.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate contractual discussions and negotiations.
  • Ability to define, analyse and prioritise business and project requirements.
  • Ability to directly and functionally manage Embedded multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to analyse complex data, draw conclusions, produce reports and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, with people at all levels across the organisation and externally.

Experience

  • Experience of managing BIM processes on large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Functional management of large numbers of multi-disciplinary engineers.
  • Experience of building relationships with, and influencing, a range of people at all levels within and outside the organisation.
  • Experience of initiating and managing the change process within large organisations.
  • Functional management of large numbers of multi-disciplinary engineers.
  • Experience of providing professional and technical advice, guidance and support.
  • Experience of carrying out technical document review and analysis.
  • Experience of working in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Preferred experience in underground railways.

This is a contract role based in London with a daily pay rate between £250 - £320.
