We have a new opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer to support our customer on an on going, key infrastructure support and systems administration.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities.
Design, develop and implement a wide range of complex IT hardware and software to support large-scale LAN/WAN systems to include Cisco Routers and Switches, new and existing server hardware, software, and communication links that support the OIG worldwide operations.Analyze and resolve issues related to network Switches/Routers, configuration and integration of Active Directory, DNS, Citrix remote access, ScriptLogic Desktop Authority, Microsoft Server 2008 and VMware infrastructure. Monitor production systems using SCOM/Solarwinds, including data backups/archives in accordance to established schedules with Symantec NetBackup and Enterprise Vault. Perform systems administration to ensure that they are optimized to meet performance, security and availability requirements, including application of hot fixes and security patches in conjunction with vulnerability scanning system results. Compose, review, and edit technical documents, materials, and reports such as system documentations, training manuals and special reports per direction of the Division Director.
Requirements.
Must have at least seven years of experience with network administration or network engineering in an enterprise-wide, Windows environment. Experience supporting federal government customers with worldwide operations. Knowledge and experience in Storage Area Network (SAN) EMC Clarion. Knowledge and experience with VMWare and Citrix Xen. Experience with Windows Server 2008/R2 to include Active Directory, DNS, and switch and Router operations.
Additional Desired Qualifications.
Any combination of at least two of the following certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, and CCNP.
