Job Description:
Create, assimilate, and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner. Work closely with a dynamic team of Continuous Improvement Engineers, Finance, Maintenance and Operations to collaborate on technical, training and process improvement tracking documents or projects. Contribute to the development of new processes and methods to be more effective and lean to help improve productivity and efficiencies.

1st shift, hours must be somewhat flexible if needed, 8am-5pm, some days may have a 6am or 7am start based on project needs

Skills:
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Able to organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files
  • Ability to document processes and write detailed functional requirements for everyone to understand
  • Analytical and decision making competencies
  • Maintain records and files of work or revisions to be placed on internal web site
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management a plus but not required
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing and process improvement concepts

    Please note this is a meat manufacturing environmental and being on the floor is a part of the job. Comfort in a manufacturing environment and with raw meat is required.

    Technical Writer Education Required:
    Bachelor degree
    (New college grads welcome)
