Position: Weblogic Administrator
Role: Contract (6 months -12 months possible for extension)
Proven experience installing, configuring, tuning, automating, and troubleshooting WebSphere Application Server v6 and/or 6.1/v7 in a clustered deployment model.
Installation and upgradation of WebLogic Server
Weblogic Application Server Administration 10.3, 9.2 L2/L3 Jrun 4.0.7 & IBM Http Server & WASCE-2.1.1.4 Server Administration L1/L2 Sun One/Iplanet 6.1 SP12 Webserver L1/L2
- Configuration of WebLogic properties, classpath
- Starting/Stopping of WebLogic Server
- Configuring multitier DBMS connections
- Running and maintaining the WebLogic Server
- Implementing and testing of WebLogic code examples
- Administering through WebLogic Console
- Administering WebLogic Server Clusters
- Administering the WebLogic LDAP security realm(How to set up the WebLogic Server to use Netscape Directory Server, Microsoft Site Server, or Novell NDS for users and groups instead of the WebLogic.properties file)
- Administering WebLogic for Windows NT/UNIX security realm
- Tuning WebLogic Server
- Publishing with WebLogic ZAC(WebLogic Zero Administration Client)
- Installing the WebLogic-to-Netscape Bridge (NSAPI)
- Installing the WebLogic-to-Microsoft-IIS Bridge (ISAPI)
- Installing the WebLogic-to-Apache Bridge
- Implementing WebLogic SSL
Basic Unix& Wintel
o File Permission Changes.
o Log Copy Activities, Compressing.
o Space Issue( Identifying the large files and compress them & Move).
o Reading Log files for errors and reboot failures.
o Checking Process& system performance.
a. Thread Dump Analysis
b. Research and troubleshoot problems related the Application Server software, the applications that run on them as well as the external systems that they interact with
c. Work closely with other technology teams (network, OS, storage ) to engineer solutions and solve problems
Create documentation during project life cycle as well as enhance existing standards and procedural documentation
Demonstrated experience automating routine administration and troubleshooting tasks
Working knowledge of widely used IT best practice and process improvement methodologies
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to lead other team members and facilitate innovative thinking to solve technology issues
