Interim VP of Engineering - 6 month contract - Paris (circa €700-€800 per day depending on experience)

My client, a leading consumer electronics company is seeking an Interim VP of Engineering to to lead, direct and manage programme teams. You will oversee the customer delivery function to deliver a stream of product designs for all programmes, as specified by the international roadmap.
You will be responsible for delivery of all Programmes based in France ensuring that all are on time, on margin and on quality. You will provide leadership to on-site programme teams ensuring that they are motivated, supported, and developed. The role will involve managing all engineering personnel on all sites within the programmes, ensuring growth of a dynamic, creative, coherent, cost-effective and flourishing product development and programme delivery function for the group. You will work closely with the company's other VP of Engineering (based elsewhere in the UK).
Applicants should be available to start beginning July 2012 and have an impressive track record in a similar role/s, ideally coming from a consumer electronics background with high-tech products featuring software and hardware components.
