Senior or Principal Electronics Engineer
6 - 12 Months
Successful candidate will require experience within the following areas:
- Specialist Analysis and/or design
- Creation of product support and design information.
- Confirmation of Conceptual design of the product to meet the FDS.
- Instruction of designers.
- Interpretation of international codes and standards.
- Participate in R&D activities under the instruction and supervision of the Chief Engineer.
- Participate in Technical Investigations and Studies under the instruction and supervision of the Chief Engineer.
- Support of the procurement department in technical liaison and management of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Conduct preliminary testing of new products and/or fault diagnosis of returned products in the Engineering laboratory
- To ensure that best practice is followed to achieve maximum levels of safety, quality and efficiency are sustained.
- Extensive liaison with suppliers and customers to discuss technical specifications, manufacturing queries, procurement queries etc.
- Assist Systems Engineers and marketing department to establish optimum technical solutions in support of new business acquisition in the form of bid preparation and technical reviews.
- Undertake prototype and test equipment assembly and test in the engineering laboratories.
- Undertake equipment integration testing within the engineering laboratories.
- Support FAT, EFAT, SIT and commissioning - both on site and offsite. Support may comprise technical direction and physical assistance
- Provide input and estimates to the Lead Engineer/Chief Engineer as part of the short interval control.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified in Electronics or related discipline
- The post holder shall have an engineering background. and will be familiar with relevant national and international standards. Specifically ISO, BS7671. (ISO not necessary but advantageous)
- Flexibility to work across the full range of the Company products within their particular discipline.
- Must be able to communicate effectively - verbal and written English.
- Must be capable of multi-tasking and working to agreed schedules and be 'commercially aware' in engineering solutions.
