The client for Front Office Desk Java Developer - This role is a Front Office Java development role for the Pricing/Risk Desk business area for leading Asset Management firm based in Downtown New York. My client manages an extremely large proprietary asset portfolio across Rates, Credit, Securitized products, and equity markets combined with alternative investments and structured insurance and derivative products: a diverse and interesting instrument mix. The stated aim of the business and IT function is to stabilize and build a robust and functional Pricing platform, and this initiative is to support at the most senior levels of the firm, meaning there is great scope for interaction with the people who will use the system, and great scope to shape the future of the platform. This role is instrumental in assisting the IT function to meets its goals.
The Java Developer role on a Unix Platform is a mixture of new Java development, desk and system support, and the integration and augmentation of existing systems. Although the Java Developer Unix role is not for a Quant team, the ability to interact with such a team is required.
The person for Front Office Desk Java Developer - Any Financial Product Domain Experience, as well as core Java Development language skills on a Unix platform along with SQL and Perl Scripting are mandatory. Good knowledge of Risk or Pricing would be a clear advantage, including Securities Lending, Mortgage Backed Securities. Credit Risk, Securitized Products.
Any good Front Office-focused Financial experience of the following technologies is required:
