Job Description:
The following are primary objectives for this role. This position will be a Programmer Analyst working with the Business Analysts to design and deliver solutions that would enhance the MicroStrategy projects, which are within the Global Datawarehouse Platform (Teradata, DataStage and MicroStrategy)
  • Develop or enhance analytical application using Business Intelligence solution (MicroStrategy). Person would be a subject matter expert in the creation, execution, and improvement of BI programs; serve as the technical liaison between the business and development teams; and be committed to customer satisfaction and delivery of quality solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the needs of the business group from the business and technical perspective, and work closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and see them through implementation. Work with the technical leads from GDW, from design through implementation (into production environment).
  • Providing critical care support to newly implemented enhancements. Also, assisting with escalated application production support issues. This includes: identification and resolution of data discrepancies and availability; explanation of functionality; escalation to development and global teams for MicroStrategy, database and ETL related issues.
  • Understands coding methodologies. Experience with.NET preferred

    Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 4 years programming experience with MicroStrategy
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with a programming language (.net/Java preferred)
  • High level of SQL Expertise. Must be able to understand & write complex SQL queries
  • SDLC expertise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • A college degree IS required. Preferably in Computer Science or equivalent.
