The job responsibilities of the IT Security Support person include but are not limited to the following:
Provide security services third level helpdesk support. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory services and system administrator experience required. Ability to create security groups, and assign access privileges in Active Directory is required. The job responsibility consists of providing Help Desk - Level 3 support for the IT Security Group in a Client Server environment. This includes acting as the day-to-day central point of contact for problems/requests directed to IT Security via an automated problem tracking system (Remedy), and performing 3rd-level problem resolution in the areas of knowledge listed below. This person will work closely with clients, other group members, other IT support areas, and selected vendors (ie, Sentinel) to assure timely and accurate resolution of client issues.

The candidate should have knowledge of the following:
Microsoft Office 2010 products and Microsoft Outlook.
Administrator-level support for a corporate network print environment.
Microsoft Windows 7/XP client support in an Active Directory environment.
PC hardware architecture.
Remote-assistance concepts.
LAN/WAN topology (ie, file rights, drive mappings, server attaching, navigation and implications of LAN ID administration.) in Windows 7/XP operating environment.
Internet Explorer 8 functionality.
Authoring technical documentation for knowledge base articles.
Knowledge of the following is considered a plus, but not a requirement: roaming profiles, BMC Remedy, wireless client support, ITIL processes, MS Office 2010, HP Radia, Unix/Linux user administration and access rights.
