KYC Compliance Analyst: CDD Process: Global Oil Company

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a KYC Compliance Analyst to execute steps to ensure that the Know Your Counterparty (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process is completed for primarily the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia customers.

Duties of job:

- Perform the CDD due diligence checks to verify the identity of new clients within acceptable timeframes - per SLAs.
- Carry out sanction checks on all clients and key associates
- Assist the business in carrying out ABC due diligence
- Assess Politically Exposed Persons and their risk associated to them
- Undertake routine & complex due diligence and money laundering queries from Front Office and management
- Promote the understanding and knowledge of CDD requirements
- Carry out periodic CDD reviews 
- Organise and maintain appropriate records 
- Keep up to date with the changes to the money laundering regulations
- Assist in the handling of the day-to-day review process
- Support on-going projects and reviews as required
- Ensure the new investment clients are appropriately categorised under the new FSA Code of Business Sourcebook

Ideal candidate will have:

- Ability to deliver on the accountabilities and responsibilities
- Diligent, with an excellent eye for detail
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify cause-effect relationships
- The ability to address issues with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
- Awareness of the trading business, political and regulatory impacts to the business.
- A working knowledge/understanding of the Group Anti-Money Laundering standard.
- Bachelor's degree an advantage.
- Trading or related industry experience.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
